Diabetes

Diabetes is the metabolic disease where insulin is inefficient to breakdown the complex sugar into the simple sugars to use as an energy source. A diabetic patient has an extra amount of sugars in the blood.

Hence, the diabetic patient may have dental problems like tooth decay or gum disease very easily. Due to extra sugar, the rate of bone resorption is very high. This leads to bad progression of treatment.

Walking consumes the extra sugars in your body and protects teeth from getting dental caries.

Periodontal disease

The periodontal disease or gum disease is mainly caused due to bacteria buildup in the mouth. When this buildup increases, it leads to inflammation and gum bleeding.

Walking regularly reduces inflammation and bleeding of gums. Gum disease is also linked with other diseases such as heart diseases.

Walking lowers the blood pressure and reduces the risk of such systemic diseases.

Stress

Almost everyone is living a stressful life. Stress can lead to a number of dental issues.

A stressed person has a habit of clenching his jaw when the stress level peaks. Clenching the jaw hard leads to tenderness in the jaw joint (Temporomandibular joint).

Walking is an effective therapy for people who want to deal with stress. A 20-minute walk can relieve all the worries and help the person to leave a stress-free or minimal stress life.

Obesity

Changing lifestyles and growing unhealthy eating habits take a toll on health. Millions of people are dealing with obesity worldwide. People are looking for crash diets or target based weight loss programs. Obesity is, therefore, a life-threatening condition and it can also affect your oral health.

People with obesity have unhealthy eating habits which can lead to poor oral health. They can have common dental issues such as dental caries and gum diseases.

Going for a brisk walk is the cheapest and most effective exercise which will help in dealing with obesity. A walk can also help you maintain your body weight in the long run.

Save your dental treatment cost and plan a walking routine for your oral as well as overall health.
